About Me

I am a trained and licensed Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) specializing in plant-based diets, and a vegan lifestyle with a mindful eating approach. As a professional, my goal is to help clients find what works best for each of them to sustain a balanced and healthy life. A plant-based lifestyle can be for anybody and can meet the needs of managing many chronic diseases such as diabetes, heart disease, weight management, digestive issues, high cholesterol and triglyceride levels, among other health concerns.

My counseling sessions are conducted with an open mind in order to help each one of my clients sculpt the plan that is right for them. Food is tied to many aspects of our lives so food may not be all we talk about during our sessions. It’s important, for me, to know you have a solid foundation to work off of so that when we are done meeting with each other, you have the necessary skills and knowledge to make healthy informed decisions about your diet and lifestyle. My philosophy is to provide you with sustainable ways to attain your health related goals and enjoy food as it should be.

As a professional and nutrition expert, I do not endorse the use of products and shortcuts to help you reach all of your health and wellness related goals.

Taking the first step is deciding to make a change. Congratulations on getting here and starting your journey!

Transitioning to a new diet should be done carefully making sure the foods allowed meet all of your nutritional needs. Before making the step to a vegetarian or vegan diet it is a good idea to meet with a Dietitian who can ensure you won't face any deficiencies.

Some of the main concerns when switching to a vegetarian or vegan diet are:

Making sure you get enough calories (avoiding unintentional weight loss, or loss of lean body mass)

Getting enough of the following nutrition - iodine, iron, B12, calcium and vitamin D

A vegan diet will usually require you take supplements to ensure you meet your nutrient needs.

If you are thinking about going vegetarian or vegan, I can help you make a smooth transition and even provide with your first vegetarian/vegan friendly grocery shopping list.
